Strategic Planning is not an event; it is an ongoing process of review, assessment and prioritization in terms of external forces and internal realities.  Its purpose is to continually refine the organization's mission, goals, objectives and strategies to ensure that they are member needs-driven.

We also believe that strategic plans are essentially useless unless they feed directly to and are linked inexorably with the staff's annual operating plan and budget.
